Eastbound with Don McCullin

March 27, 2017

The exhibition ‘Looking East’ with works by world-renowned photographer Don McCullin is showing at the Folia Gallery in Paris from 30 March to 27 May 2017.
On 29 March 2017, ‘Looking East’ opens with an evening reception at the Folia Gallery in Paris (18.30). The exhibition of works by British photographer Don McCullin forms part of the ‘Mois de la Photo’, and will be on display at the gallery until 27 May. McCullin, who counts as one of the world’s most renowned photojournalists, is particularly recognised for his reportages on war and crisis regions. In 1964 he received the World Press Photo Award for his coverage of the war in Cyprus. He was also honoured with the ICP’s prestigious Cornell Capa Award in 2006.

The Folia Gallery in Paris now presents a selection of lesser-known, but equally intense images taken in Lebanon, Syria, India and Vietnam. On 22 April, the photographer will attend the gallery to hold an Artist Talk. The event starts at 16.00, and is open to a limited number of visitors.
