As Official Photography Partner of Photokina 2016, Leica will be staging the Masters of Photography exhibition at the world photography trade fair.
Every day up until the opening of the Photokina on September 20, we will be presenting one of the pictures series. Today it is Tout Va Bien by JH Engström.
From scenes of birth and the blurred shadows of an old man, to poetic wildlife photographs and surreal portraits – the Swedish photographer JH Engström collects impressions that correspond to his emotions. Using every possible style, he explores what existence is all about and allows space in his work to reflect his mental states. In his most recent publication, Tout Va Bien, Engström frees himself from any concrete theme and, despite the autobiographical background to his photos, offers the viewer the chance to discover his or her own personal story therein. The series earned him the 2015 Leica Oskar Barnack Award.
