Leica and Sky Arts are looking for Europe’s best photographers. ‘Master of Photography’, the first European TV Talent Show for professional and ambitious amateur photographers, will be launched on July 21.
Master of Photography, the first European TV Talent Show for professional and ambitious amateur photographers, will be launched on Sky Arts on July 21.

Leica Camera is the exclusive technology partner of the Master of Photography TV Talent Show on Sky Arts. The production is run through the Sky Arts Production Hub, that was founded especially to develop high-quality art and culture programmes. Master of Photography is the first European TV Talent Show for photographers and will be launched on July 21, 2016, in Italy on Sky Arte HD, in Great Britain and Ireland on Sky Arts, and in Germany and Austria on Sky Arts HD.

Actress Isabella Rossellini will be hosting the show in which twelve talents from all over Europe will fight for the Master of Photography title. Over eight episodes, the professional and amateurs photographers will have to face different challenges in the studio and outdoors. For this purpose, they will travel to various locations in Europe, such as Rome, London and Berlin. The jury, which is made up of the renowned photographers and art experts Oliviero Toscani, Simon Frederick and Rut Blees Luxemburg, will evaluate the work of the participants to ultimately choose the Master of Photography. The winner will receive prize money amounting to 150,000 euros and the opportunity to realise a solo exhibition, including catalogue.

Leica Camera will make professional equipment with cameras, lenses and accessories from the S, SL and M systems, as well as the Leica Q, available for all the participants.
