Gallery founder and photographer David Nissen shares a connection with both Letizia Le Fur and Benoit Linero, in that their work often revolves around the idea of a road trip. A prime example is Nissen’s series ‘Light and Shadow’, which was featured in LFI 03/2019.
In 2019, Letizia Le Fur (b. 1973) won the Leica x Alpine ‘Hit the Road’ photo contest. She received a Carte Blanche to express her vision of travel and escape – of which the showcased series ‘This Is Not a Map’ is a thematic continuation. LFI previously presented Le Fur’s portfolio about a fictional protagonist surviving in an inhospitable world (issue 03/2020).
Selected excerpts from Benoit Linero’s most recent independent project, ‘America’, are also on show at the Parisian gallery. The exhibitions are complemented by an installation created by Lee Shulman, founder and curator of The Anonymous Photo Project.
