Leica introduce a limited special edition of the Leica M (Typ 262).
Leica Camera present a new addition to the Leica rangefinder system – the Leica M (Typ 262) ‘red anodised finish’, released in a special limited edition. The new model is distinguished by a highly striking colour scheme, featuring a top and base plate machined from solid aluminium and anodised in red. This lends the camera a unique look that perfectly matches the special edition of the Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 mm f/2 ASPH released in 2016. Just like the lens, the red anodised Leica M (Typ 262) is limited to 100 units worldwide; each camera features a special-edition serial number.

In terms of technical specifications, the red anodised Leica M (Typ 262) is identical to the camera’s serial model. It is equipped with a CMOS full-frame sensor designed exclusively for rangefinder photography, while additional features such as Live View and video mode have been omitted.

The Leica M (Typ 262) ‘red anodised finish’ is available as of now.
