The Photobook Quartet

January 20, 2015

On Friday 30 January 2015, the "Photobook Quartet" visits the Art Space of the Michael-Horbach Foundation in Cologne.
Photography is widely considered the primary medium of our time. However, compared to the worlds of literature, music and film, there is virtually no existing culture of discussion or debate on the topic of photography. Inspired by the German TV broadcast The Literary Quartet, the regular event will see Damian Zimmermann (Photoszene), Markus Schaden (Schaden.com), Wolfgang Zurborn (Lichtblick School), Oliver Rausch and Frank Dürrach (Cologne Photo Academy), as well as one guest speaker discuss four photo books in front of an audience.

The upcoming event will revolve around the books The Epilogue by Laia Abril, Margret: Chronicle of an Affair, as well as Minutes to Midnight by Leica photographer Trent Parke. The fourth choice is yet to be announced. The special guest for this evening will be radio presenter, art historian and curator Claudia Dichter.

Doors open at 19.00. Discussion starts at 19.30.
Location: Art Space of the Michael Horbach Foundation, Wormser St. 23, 50677 Cologne

Admission: 5 euros. Advance registration at damian.zimmermann@photoszene.de
