Newcomer photography in Hanover

July 1, 2015

From July 2 to 12, the GAF Gallery in Hanover is presenting Bachelor works by students from the Photojournalism and Documentary Photography department of Hanover College.
On July 1, at 7pm, Hanover College is inviting guest to the vernissage at the GAF Gallery, of an exhibition of Bachelor works by students of their Photojournalism and Documentary Photography department. The exhibition will be on display until July 12. The gallery will be open exceptionally every day from 12 to 6pm, for the duration of the exhibition.

The graduates take viewers on journeys into different realms. After in depth research into seven different stories, they each offer insight into the situations of their respective protagonists. Over the span of one semester, this gave rise to exciting reportages, each with the individual aesthetic approach and signature of the newcomer photographer involved.

The outcome of worldwide research
The graduates travelled all over to find their protagonists – from Colombia, Russia, Poland and Cambodia to the Ukraine and Germany. The exhibition presents Bachelor works by Jonas Wresch, Felix Schledding, Matthias Döring, Philipp Jeske, Agnieszka Krus, Moritz Küstner, Sophia Mahnert, Frederic Schmidt and Martin Smolka.
