The Atelier Jungwirth in Graz, Austria, is presenting the exhibition Metaphysics of the Urban Landscape, from November 2, 2016 to January 28, 2017. It brings together works by the Italian photographer Gabriele Croppi.
Croppi, who was born in Italy in 1974, is considered one of the most exciting artists in his home country. His images reveal influences of painting, classic photography and film. He has received many awards, including the 2013 Photo Series of the Year.
Contrasts, moods, light incidences, perspectives – the photographer leaves nothing to chance. His pictures are carefully staged urban ‘landscapes’, the interplay of architecture and public spaces, which Croppi has been fascinated with for years.
