Starting immediately, photographers are invited to submit their work for the 2015 Environmental Photographer of the Year competition. The deadline for submissions is April 7, 2015. The award is granted in recognition of work that draws particular attention either to social injustice or to climatic change, and is aimed both at professional, newcomer and ambitious amateur photographers.
In addition to the first prize, endowed with 5000 pounds, awards are given in a further three categories: Young Environmental Photographer, Environmental Film and Cityscape. Each of these is endowed with 1000 pounds in prize money. In addition, the Forestry Commission England Exhibition Award will invite one photographer to exhibit a solo show at one of England's public forests.
