Breaking point photography

November 2, 2014

On November 8, 2014, the Neue Schule für Fotografie in Berlin is organizing a symposium on aesthetic resonances in photographic images.
As happens every autumn, the Neue Schule für Fotografie in Berlin is organizing a one-day symposium with around six talks by renowned photography theoreticians and practitioners. This year – following the theme of the European Month of Photography in Berlin – the Symposium is titled 'Bruchstelle Fotografie. Ästhetische Resonanzen im fotografischen Bild' (Breaking point photography, aesthetic resonances in photographic images), and questions in what manner a picture's aesthetic effects unfold, where fractures become visible and what pictures conceal.

The symposium will be moderated by Dr. Susanne Holschbach, professor at the Neuen Schule für Fotografie. The presentations will be made by Norbert Artner, Corinna Koch, Georgia Krawiec, Ute Lindner, Prof. Manfred Schmalriede and Harry Walter.

Saturday, November 8, 10am to 6pm. Free entry.

Due to limited seating, registration by email is requested.
