The exhibition ‘This Is It: A Human-Centered View of Us’ – organised by South Shore Arts – is on show at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster (Indiana, USA) until January 8, 2023.
Outstanding documentary photography has the potential to effect change – by enabling viewers to experience intimate moments of empathy and a deeper understanding of another person’s circumstance. These criteria were the driving force behind the selection made by the showcase’s curators, Linda Dorman and Tom Torluemke.
‘This Is It’ encompasses long-term photo projects and single images by acclaimed and award-winning photographers Jess T. Dugan, Mariah Karson, Jon Lowenstein, Stephen Marc, Carlos Javier Ortiz, and John H. White.
