Georg Koppmann Prize

November 12, 2024

Entries for the Georg Koppmann Prize for Hamburg Urban Photography are accepted until 30 November 2024.
Established in honour of Hamburg photographer Georg Koppmann (1842–1909), the 8,000-euro grant is organised by the city’s Department of Urban Development & Housing in collaboration with the Hamburg Historical Museums Foundation.

First launched in 2018, the Georg Koppmann Prize is designed to support artistic-documentary examinations of Hamburg’s cityscape and its changes. Applicants are invited to develop an autonomous photographic perspective on the city as a place of residence and living space, and explore the processes of its transformation.

The grant is aimed at professional photographers at any stage of their career – there is no age restriction.

Applications can be sent to Stefan Rahner stefan.rahner@museum-der-arbeit.de
