Born in Basel, Switzerland, in 1987, she spent some time in India before finishing her high school education, then studying at the University of Art and Design in Berlin. She has worked as a freelance photographer ever since. Her volume North Korea. The Power of Dreams (released by Kehrer Publishing in 2016) was selected for the 2018 Hochschule der Medien Photo Book Award. The series was exhibited in numerous galleries and featured in major magazines.
