PHmuseum 2021 Photography Grant

The ninth edition of the PHmuseum Photography Grant is now open for submissions. This year’s first, second and third-place winners stand to receive a total of $14,000 (approx. €11,000). The winning works will be presented as part of projected group showcases at the Lagos Photo Festival in Nigeria, the Verzasca Foto Festival in Switzerland, and the Jakarta International Photo Festival in Indonesia.

In addition, three applicants will be given solo exhibitions at PhEST (Monopoli, Italy), Getxophoto (Getxo, Spain) and the PHmuseum Lab (Bologna, Italy).

A new element of the 2021 edition is the partnership with Landskrona Foto (Sweden), whose director Jenny Nordquist will choose one artist for a six-week residency with a number of additional perks.

This year’s jury is comprised of Michael Famighetti (Editor of Aperture Magazine), Renée Mussai (Senior Curator and Head of Curatorial & Collections at Autograph, London), Trent Parke (member of Magnum Photos) and Julieta Escardó (photographer, editor and educator).
