The Wüstenrot Stiftung's Documentary Photography Sponsorship Award is directed at photographers who deal with real issues of life in this world, and who use contemporary means to reflect the definition of photography's illustrative character.
Every two years, the awards are given to graduates from German colleges, high schools and academies, where one of the designated major fields of study is photography. Four awards are given, with 10,000 euros in prize money for each. The money is to be used for the realization of a planned project.
Submissions can be sent in by post up until October 1, 2015, to:
