This year marks the 10th anniversary of Kassel’s popular Photobook Festival, which takes place at the city’s Documenta Hangar and the Dock 4 Cultural Centre. The three-day event celebrates the medium of photography with a varied programme of workshops, talks and exhibitions – as well as a major book market (featuring more than 50 publishers and photo book dealers), signing sessions and the Dummy Book Reviews.
The festival will host a number of acclaimed guest artists such as David Goldblatt, Anders Petersen and Susan Meiselas. Once again, the Kassel Dummy Award and the Kassel Photobook Award will honour the best proposed projects and book publications of the past year. In addition, slide shows and a birthday party in the forecourt of Dock 4 are sure to mark this special anniversary in style.
