Jürgen Wassmuth was born in Balve, Germany in 1955. After studying Applied Economics, he began studying Photo Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund. After graduating, he studied at the Parsons School of Design in New York. He is a member of the German Photography Society, and lives in both Dortmund and Metz, France.
