Living near Brighton on the English south coast, the photographer divides his work between the world of guitar-based music, and broader human interest themes from the perspective of his everyday life. His music photography has been widely published by the national and international music press, and also includes a number of EP and album artwork credits. More recently though, and since dedicating his efforts solely to a black and white aesthetic, his personal work has come to greater prominence. In 2020 he published I, a photo book that served as an introduction to his narrative-driven, traditionalist approach. Clifford now also has a growing presence in private collections in the UK, the US, and across Europe.
