Internationally known for his photographs of movie and fashion stars, the Italian was part of the Gamma Agency from 1989 to 2009, and currently works as a freelancer. In 2003, he was awarded the World Press Photo Contest in the Arts and Culture category, with a photo of Sharon Stone on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. His photographic research also focuses on social projects, including the reportage Spirits of the Trees, dedicated to a planting program in the Tamil Nadu region (India).
