Born in France in 1995, the photographer lives and works between Paris and Brussels. In 2022 she took part in Residency 1+2, a programme promoting dialogue between photography and science. Her resulting Algues maudites project toured Europe, including the Rencontres d’Arles, and the Biennale Photo Climat in Paris. In 2024 she won, i.a., the New Environmental Photography Writing Prize in collaboration with La Gacilly and Leica.

Curse of the Algae

Alice Pallot

Algae are causing health and environmental problems along the coast of Brittany. Applying futuristic aesthetics, Alice Pallot is dedicating her project to the threat for the global ecosystem. The photographer uses her series to draw attention to the subject, while at the same time creating an artistic impulse for change.
