Den mit 15.000 Euro dotierten Louis Roederer Discovery Award teilen sich in diesem außergewöhnlichen Jahr die 10 Finalisten solidarisch. Die Gewinner des Louis Roederer Discovery Award sind Poulomi Basu und Francois-Xavier Gbré. Die indischstämmige, medienübergreifend arbeitende Fotografin Poulomi Basu wird für ihre Serie „Centralia“ ausgezeichnet, der Franzose François-Xavier Gbré für seine an der Elfenbeinküste realisierte Arbeit „Émergence“.
Die schweizerisch-französische Fotografin Sabine Weiss wird mit dem diesjährigen „Women in Motion Award“ für ihr Lebenswerk ausgezeichnet.
Der Luma Rencontres Dummy Book Awards Arles 2020 geht an Yto Barrada und Bettina für die Publikation „Bettina“. Ein besondere Erwähnung erhält Kourtney Roy für „The Other End of the Rainbow“.
