To produce the last of the series mentioned, Papageorge travelled throughout the United States at the time of the Vietnam war, photographing various national sports. With Passing Through Eden, Papageorge captured the poetry of New York's Central Park in images. Inspired by Genesis in the Bible, the photographs represent the Garden of Eden in the 20th century. In contrast to the green lagoon in the middle of the metropolis, Studio 54 depicts excessive nights in the legendary club, Studio 54.
