While the festival will once again draw numerous exhibitors from East European countries (including Poland, Hungary, Chechnya, Ukraine, Slovenia and Russia), this year's event will also feature established publishing houses from London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Lisbon, Paris, Milan and Helsinki.

This year's festival will also introduce the first ViennaPhotoBookReview, enabling 30 selected artists to present their photo book projects to an audience of leading industry experts. The Review, which is organised into six twenty-minute sessions, takes place on the day before the festival (13 June). One project will be selected for the 5,000-euro ViennaPhotoBookAward, and will be published in due course.

In addition, the festival will represent a sales platform for over 70 publishers, dealers and antiquarians. As a result, books by over 500 artists and more than 300 publishing houses will be for sale during the event. A vast number of the publications are impossible to find on the Internet or the general market, but can only be discovered at festivals of this kind.
