The exhibition combines the works of three photographers, each of whom approaches the medium in an entirely different way. The result is a selection of works spanning from situation-based spacial experiences (Stünkel - Germany) to strategies of perception (Wiesinger - Germany) and staged scenes (Wessel - USA).
What the three artist do have in common is that their work can not be truly understood with a few fleeting glances, but requires a deeper contemplation of context and meaning.
This is the three artists' first joint exhibition, although Stünkel and Wiesinger have collaborated on previous occasions, including a photo book published in 2012 by Guberg Publishing.
Film maker and photography artist Franziska Stünkel is currently completing a project with an M9 from the LFI camera loan pool.
