"More than Grey" is a series of analogue photographs taken in disused cement works between 1991 and 1996. Working with a 4x5 inch large format camera, Michael Rasche created photographic compositions of structures, rooms and objects whose colours had taken on a life of their own, having been exposed to the elements for several decades. The series was published only once the factories had been dismantled or detonated.
Michael Rasche (*1959) studied photography at the University for Applied Sciences in Dortmund. He has been working as a freelance photographer since 1991. From 2002 to 2007, he also repeatedly lectured on digital image processing and architectural photography at Dortmund University.
