The exhibition opens in front of Berlin's Amerika Haus on 19 September 2013, in conjunction with Berlin Art Week.
A zoo, a station, universities, boulevards, road markings, luxury, tourist attractions, poverty – so much contrast within 1/4 of a square kilometre! The west–end of Charlottenburg has always been defined by dynamic bustle and fascinating lifestyles. A never-ending stream of humans flowing through an urban framework, devoid of any real interaction. Each one interwoven with the crowd, hurrying past each other in a bid for personal space.
C/O Berlin has asked 14 photographers of the OSTKREUZ Agency to explore Charlottenburg and its inhabitants, to reveal the stories and complex demographic structure concealed behind the bustling façade.
