"S" is for Summer

From July 31 to August 31, 2014, the Leica Gallery L.A. is presenting an exhibition of works by Manuel Pandalis. On show is his Pure series, taken with the Leica S system and published in the first issue of the S Magazine.

In this series, Pandalis focusses on the faces of professional models, whom he photographed without make-up or hair styling, in front of a neutral backdrop – everything reduced to the 'pure' basics.

Manuel Pandalis is a German photographer with Greek roots, who lives and works in Hamburg. His career began as an assistant for a number of professional photographers. After five years in the music field, he returned to photography and has worked since then as a free-lance fashion photographer with his own studio.

His clients include various prominent fashion labels and designers, and his work has appeared in different international magazines.
