The Austrian photographer's projects “Metropolitan” and “Patience” will be showing at the Werkhallen gallery in Remagen, Germany, from 9 November 2013 to 11 January 2014
Two series of colour photographs by Austrian photographer Josef Hoflehner will be presented at the German gallery Werkhallen | Obermann | Burkhard in Remagen. Created over a period of seven years, “Metropolitan” and “Patience” are the result of Hoflehner's travels through Japan, China, Australia, the USA, Cuba, Vietnam and Russia between 2006 and 2013. In these series, Hoflehner departs not only from his conviction as a pure black-and-white photographer, but also from his customary square-format prints – instead, he presents his colour photographs in landscape format.

Josef Hoflehner (born 1955) works exclusively with traditional analogue equipment. Among others, he was voted Nature Photographer of the Year (IPA Awards) in 2007.
