Davide Monteleone

July 19, 2014

The exhibition 'Spasibo' by Italian photographer Davide Monteleone will be showing at the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt from 30 August to 28 September 2014.
Spasibo is a photojournalistic essay on the country of Chechnya. Being chosen as the winner of the 4th Carmignac Gestion Photojournalism Award (2013) was what enabled Monteleone to create this insightful documentary on Chechnya's culture and identity.

Titled Spasibo ('Thank you'), the exhibition consists of a selection of large-format black and white photographs of street scenes, landscapes as well as portraits of the country's inhabitants.

Following several successful international exhibitions, the project is now showing in Germany for the first time.

The exhibition is accompanied by the book of the same title. Published by Kehrer Publishing, Davide MonteleoneSpasibo features texts written by Galia Ackermann and Masha Gessen.
