FIRST CHOICE
December 14, 2013
Anna Lehmann-Brauns, Barca, 2011
To wrap up the year, the Galerie Springer in Berlin is presenting a group exhibition that includes a selection of pieces by artists the gallery has worked with throughout 2013.
The following artists will be among those presented in the exhibition:
ANNA LEHMANN-BRAUNS
First glimpses of her exciting new series, with pictures taken on site at a former German-Silesian thread factory in Poland.
WIEBKE ELZEL & JANA MÜLLER
In this joint project, the two artists stage scenes in abandoned and unused spaces. The photos produced are masterful, subtly giving rise to catastrophes and crises in the mind of the viewer.
SAUL LEITER
The recently concluded exhibition with photographs and drawings by this exceptional artist was very much appreciated by both the public and the press alike. Born in 1923 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Saul Leiter – who passed away just a few days ago – is considered one of the pioneers of artistic colour photography.
