The Eastreet exhibition is dedicated to street photography from Eastern Europe and is the first initiative of its kind and scope. From among 4000 images taken by photographers from all over the world, the jury selected 82 that then made their way into the exhibition.
The pictures were taken under differing circumstances and at different times, with diverse approaches and using all types of cameras – from mobile phones to medium format analogue cameras. Yet, all together their aim was the same: to capture public life in Eastern Europe using spontaneous street photography to get one-of-a-kind images.
Among the photographers being exhibited are: Federico Caponi (ITA), Ksenia Tsykunova (RUS), Damian Chrobak (UK), Justyna Mielnikiewicz (GEO), Dorin Goian (CAN), Jan Zappner (GER) und Marta Rybicka (POL).
