Düsseldorf Photo Weekend 2014

Following the great success of the event in 2012 and 2013, the third edition of the Düsseldorf Photo Weekend is scheduled to take place from Friday 31 January to Sunday 2 February 2014. Numerous galleries, museums and other establishments of the city's art and photography scene will open their doors throughout the weekend, offering an array of photography-based exhibitions and events.

An extensive range of films on both photography and video art will be showing at the city's NRW Forum, including award winning films by Ralph Goertz as well as Michael Engler's Contemporary Photography in America. Created in 1982, the film illustrates the most important photographic approaches of the seventies and eighties through workshop talks with Garry Winogrand, Robert Frank Mark Cohen and Duane Michals, among others.
