Exposing Infinity

June 8, 2014

From June 14 to September 14, 2014 the Städtische Galerie in Dresden is presenting "Naked Light" by Stefan Heyne
Beginning June 14, the Städtische Galerie in Dresden is presenting the exhibition Naked Light. Die Belichtung des Unendlichen (Naked Light. Exposing Infinity) by Berlin photographer Stefan Heyne. Born in 1965, Heyne is one of the most significant protagonists of what is known as new photographic abstraction. Over the past ten years, by pushing the blurry effect in his photographs to the extreme, Heyne has developed a very unique approach within the field of contemporary photography.

The exhibition presents 30 of Heyne's pieces of art, including 15 brand new photographs. At the same time, the Städtische Galerie in Dresden is producing and hosting the world première of the first space-filling, architecture-related piece that the artist has created.

This step into the “third dimension” is a logical consequence in the evolution of the Heyne's oeuvre. The concept was developed in close collaboration with the gallery.
