The Dieselkraftwerk (dkw) Art Museum in Cottbus is currently showing The Critical Camera with photographic works by Andrea Diefenbach, Alexander Janetzko, Robert Knoth and Katharina Mouratidi. The exhibition ends on 17 August 2014.

Society in focus
All of the exhibited projects address specific social issues. Andrea Diefenbach captured the everyday reality of children in Moldova whose parents have emigrated to find work in Italy. Alexander Janetzko presents observations from his travels to Israel and Palestine in concentrated images, while the series Certificate no. 000358/ by Robert Knoth documents the effects of nuclear accidents in Eastern Europe. And finally, Katharina Mouratidi honours the laureates of the 'Alternative Nobel Prize' in her portrait series Backstage Heroes.
