From June 1 to July 5, Kehrer Verlag is presenting the exhibition Borderline Empire, with works by Davide Monteleone. The presentation marks the opening of the publishing company's Berlin gallery.
Born in 1974, the photographer became known internationally as a result of his reportages from Russia's borderline regions. Monteleone has worked as a Moscow correspondent for many international magazines.
He has received international awards including the 2011 European Publishers Award for Photography, for his publication Red Thistle, and in the same year the World Press Photo Award in the Arts & Entertainment category. In 2009 he was one of the finalists for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award.
