The Official Formula 1 Opus Exhibition

August 5, 2014

Zenon Texeira's exhibition is showing at the Camera Work Gallery in Berlin until 13 September 2014.
The Camera Work Gallery in Berlin is the first venue worldwide to show Zenon Texeira's The Official Formula 1 Opus Exhibition. The selection consists of 40 portraits depicting the greatest legends from the history of Formula 1 – created by artist Zenon Texeira using a unique camera.

Zenon Texeira (born 1968) captured his subjects with a one-off, 20×24 Polaroid camera weighing 100 kilograms. The portraits, which are linked by very distinctive visual aesthetics, were taken during the Grand Prix in Silverstone in 2006.

Among the portrayed are legendary Champions such as Fittipaldi, Alan Jones, Niki Lauda, Nigel Mansell, Jackie Stewart and Sir Jack Brabham (who passed away recently), along with icons of the past two decades such as Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, Mika Häkkinen, Damon Hill, Lewis Hamilton and Jacques Villeneuve.
