From October 10 to November 8, 2013, the Officine Fotografiche in Rome is presenting “Yakuza”, and exhibition of work by Anton Kusters.

Joined by his brother Malik Kusters, the Belgian photographer went into the heart of Tokyo, looking to do a series on organized crime. The Yakuza is one of the world's most powerful criminal gangs.

It took ten months of intense research before the two brothers were finally able to gain access. The outcome is a collection of striking images of a strange world – taken in part with a Leica M9. The exhibition was curated by Diego Orlando, picture editor of the magazine burn.
