The Vienna Photo Book Festival 2016 takes place on 11 and 12 June 2016. Organised by the Anzenberger Gallery and the Galerie Ostlicht, the two-day event also extends to the exhibition spaces of the Photon Gallery and the Gershon Gallery. All venues are located within the Brotfabrik culture complex in Vienna's former bread factory.
This means that there are more than 1000 square metres of exhibition space to host the over 60 participating publishers and book stores from around the world. Visitors will be able to find anything from works released by major publishing houses to rare collectors pieces and small limited editions offered directly by the artist.
The festival is accompanied by a programme of events, including talks by photographer Martin Kollar (winner of the Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2014) as well as Magnum photographers Chien-Chi Chang and Carolyn Drake. In addition, photographers are invited to present their book projects at the Vienna Photo Book Review, or to enter a draft of their photo-book for the Vienna Photo Book Award.
