Leica Gallery Warsaw presents a solo show by up-and-coming Polish photographer Tomasz Wysocki. Titled 'początki/beginnings', the exhibition will be on display from 6 December to 25 January 2016.
From 6 December to 25 January 2016, Leica Gallery Warsaw presents the exhibition 'początki/beginnings' by Polish photographer Tomasz Wysocki. It is the first comprehensive solo show of the young artist's work.

The presentation comprises three separate projects, created in the years from 2013 to 2015: 'Return to Eden', 'Exodus 2064' and 'In-visibilis'. A total of 30 images will be on display, accompanied by a photo-book published by Leica Gallery Warsaw.

In his work, Wysocki addresses the themes of identity, the current state of the world and the future of our society. He achieves this by constructing detailed visions of imaginary worlds and figures. Every element of the scene is meticulously planned. The photograph is essentially created before the shutter is pressed – any post-processing work is strictly restricted to basic colour corrections.

Tomasz Wysocki (born 1990) is a student at the renowned Polish National Film School in Łódź. His work has previously been exhibited at the Leica Gallery Milan, the Copenhagen Photo Festival 2013 and the Fotofestiwal Łódź, a.o.
