Animal Turn

The relationship between people and animals in art is the theme of a group exhibition that runs until January 10, 2016 at the Waldkraiburg City Gallery.

Never before has the question of our relationship to animals been discussed with such diversity and excitement as today. The artists that are part of the exhibition curated by Elke Keiper, also take a variety of approaches in dealing with the relationship.

Their work explores existing or desirable relationships, or takes an open, observer mode towards the experimental field. They present animals in a diversity of roles and functions, as projection screens for people but also as equitable individuals. Consequently, the different artistic approaches give visual form and interpretation to the diverse relationships between people and animals.
