Save the Children
In collaboration with 'Save The Children' and Magnum Photos, the ideastap.com platform has announced an unusual competition:
Up until October 24 2014, participants are asked to submit a photo essay documenting society and its approach to the environment. The competition is open to newcomer photographers between 18 and 30 years of age.
In addition to prize money of 1000 pounds, the winner will be invited to accompany Magnum photographer Alex Webb on assignment in Central America for 'Save the Children'.
The jury, made up of Magnum photographer Alex Webb, Jess Crombie, the creative chief of 'Save the Children', Emma Bowkett, the photo editor of FT Magazine, and another representative of Magnum Photos, will announce the winner at the beginning of November.
