Through to January 4, 2023, the Goethe Institute Paris is hosting a showcase of works by students of the Cologne Academy of Media Arts.
Titled ‘The End/Not the End?’, the presentation forms part of the annual ‘La Jeune Photographie Allemande’ exhibition series, organised in collaboration with the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation. The featured photographic installations seek to illustrate the global dimensions and complexities of the current ecological crisis.
Under the tutelage of Prof. Beate Gütschow and Alex Grein, the represented artists – Javkhlan Ariunbold, Victor Beger, Caroline Brünen, Cedric Ernoult, Giorgi Gedevanidze, Alex Simon Klug, Clara Kulemeyer, Kristina Lenz, Soojins Ok and Ivana Pavlickova – have developed poetic narratives that emanate both a sense of doom and a determination to take action.
