Moritz Partenheimer

January 25, 2015

From February 6 to March 14, 2015, the Jordanow Gallery in Munich is exhibiting current works by the German photographer.
After spending time in New York and Taipeh, Taiwan, Moritz Partenheimer's work produced over the past two years in being presented in a solo exhibition at the Jordanow Gallery in Munich.

In his work, the presence and identity of people comes through in the design of their spaces and in the landscapes they have shaped, which appear artificial in his photographs. This artificialness is increased by the frequent use of motifs in night-time settings, lit up through their own light source.

The model-like character of the architecture that often appears in his work leads to a feeling of irritation in view of the reality of the places, and plays with the symbolization of medial developments. Partenheimer's pictures are extracts of situations he stumbled across, while also being carefully composed of colours, surfaces, lines and structures, where relationships between a couple or a group of items also play a role.
