Out now: new Firmware update (version 1.3) for the Leica T camera system.
Leica Camera have released a new Firmware update for the Leica T (Typ 701). To bring your camera up to date and benefit from the latest enhancements to the Leica T camera system, simply visit the Leica Homepage to download the new FW 1.3 free of charge.

Among the most notable changes offered by the new firmware is the activation time of the camera, which has been significantly reduced to less than 0.9 seconds. In-camera image processing has also been improved. New tone response curves ensure that the appearance of the final image corresponds to the DNG file.

The update also offers a number of newly added as well as revised features, including an improved WiFi set-up menu. As soon as the camera is connected to a WiFi network, users are now automatically asked to select between the Leica T App or the Web Gallery.

T photographers who utilise the M adapter will benefit from the fact that the focusing aid is now accessible directly via the camera's left-hand dial. In Digiscope Scene mode, the longest exposure time limit of 1/250 sec has been lifted. The camera's Touch AF and Shutter function has also been adjusted so that the last AF position to have been selected in Touch AF now remains active even once the shutter has been released.
