Firmware update

Leica Camera releases firmware update 2.0 for the Leica Q2.
The new firmware update 2.0 for the Leica Q2 includes numerous improvements, especially in the area of focusing. You can now choose between three AF field sizes (small, medium, large) by long tapping on the camera display while the touch AF is activated. Touch AF plus Release is now also implemented and works in all AF modes. In addition, the behavior in AF-Mode Face Detection has been optimized: if Face Detection is unsuccessful, AF-Mode now switches to AF field instead of AF multi field. Another optimization: The precision and performance of Tracking AF has been improved. In MF mode, the pre-selected AF frame now appears as the center for magnification. The frame can be moved with the cursor keys.

Another item in update 2.0 is the variable EVF frame rate. A menu has been added to select between 60 or 120 fps. For fast-moving subjects, 120 fps can now be selected for a smoother motion display (with lower resolution) or 60 fps for full resolution.

Other optimizations include a improvement in writing speed for DNG and DNG+JPEG by the factor 2x and up to 50% improvement in transfer speed of photos from the Leica Q2 to the Leica FOTOS app.
