From June 16 to July 18, 2016, the Leica Gallery Los Angeles is presenting photographs by Mark de Paola. Curated by the gallery’s director, Paris Chong, the 60 Seconds exhibition presents poetic photographs that are reminiscent of paintings.
The title defines the approach: for his new 60 Seconds series, the photographer and director Mark de Paola took all the pictures with a 60 second exposure – holding the camera rather than using a tripod.
You can read all about how de Paola’s Leica M240 helped him come up with the idea for the series, how he came to be a photographer, and which paintings have influenced him, in an LFI blog interview.
