The Kraszna-Krausz Foundation has announced its selection for the 2022 Kraszna-Krausz Photography & Moving Image Book Awards – designed to recognise outstanding, original or lasting contributions to literature on the subjects of photography and the moving image. The winner in either category stands to receive GBP 5000 (approx. 5800 EUR).

Winners:
This year’s Kraszna-Krausz Photography Book Award goes to Russet Lederman and Olga Yatskevich for their anthology ‘What They Saw: Historical Photobooks by Women, 1843–1999’.

American author, curator and art historian John G. Hanhardt wins the Moving Image Book Award for his volume ‘The Films of Andy Warhol: Catalogue Raisonné: 1963–1965’.

Finalists:
The monograph ‘Deana Lawson’ by curators Peter Eleey and Eva Respini, and the intimate photo book ‘Agata’ about Agata Kay by Belgian Magnum photographer Bieke Depoorter, were shortlisted for the Photography Book Award.

The shortlist for the Moving Image Book Award comprises the evocative volume ‘Ten Skies’ by film critic and lecturer Erika Balsom, and the exhaustively researched ‘Everyday Movies: Portable Film Projectors and the Transformation of American Culture’ by American author Haidee Wasson.
