Open Call: KBr Photo Award

Photographers are invited to enter their work for the first KBr Photo Award: the deadline for submissions is September 24, 2021. Organised by the Fundación MAPFRE, the international contest is open to participants of all nationalities aged 18 and over, who seek to either produce a new photo project, or to complete an ongoing body of work that has never been published, and has not been entered into a similar competition.

The winner stands to receive a cash prize of 25,000 euros. In addition, the organisers will present a showcase at the Espai 2 of the KBr Fundación MAPFRE Barcelona Photo Center (scheduled for February 2023), accompanied by an exhibition catalogue.

The selection will be made by an international jury comprised of four leading personalities from the art world, along with the Fundación MAPFRE’s chief curator for photography. The winner will be announced in November 2021.
