The seventh edition of the festival takes place in Kassel's documenta-Halle from 4 to 7 June 2015.
Kassel, the German city famous for its prestigious documenta art festival, is about to host another festival gem: the seventh edition of the Kassel Photobook Festival. The four-day programme is bursting with artist talks, book exhibitions, portfolio reviews and award ceremonies for the best photo book publications of 2015.

Part of this year's festival will revolve around the work of Martin Parr, in acknowledgement of his outstanding contribution to the medium of the photo book. The British photographer will hold numerous lectures, workshops and discussions. He will also present exhibitions of his work and perform a live-edition print at the festival. The portfolio reviews will be hosted by Thomas Weski, Gerry Badger, Mikhael Subotzky, Katy Grannan, Daisuke Yokota and Julián Barón, among others.

The festival will also focus on current developments in the field of photo book publication in Portugal and Spain. The third part of the festival is designed to provide known and undiscovered authors, publishers and book dealers with showcasing and networking opportunities.

In addition, the Photobook Dummy Award will be given to the best unpublished photo book. The first prize includes the full book production and publication of the winning project.
