The jury of the international Felix Schoeller Photo Award has selected five nominees for each of the contest’s five categories as well as the Emerging Photographer Award. “The initial shortlist for all categories comprised 192 works from 43 countries, all of which were truly outstanding. In many cases it was the smallest nuances that ultimately decided the nomination," Michael Dannenmann, chairman of the six-member jury, reports. Among the finalists is Leica photographer Matjaž Krivic, who has been nominated in the category ‘Photojournalism’.
The winners of the contest for professional photographers, as well as the recipient of the Emerging Photographer Award, will be announced at the prize-giving ceremony on October 19, 2019 at the Osnabrück Museum Quarter. One day later, the city of Osnabrück will open the exhibition ‘Winners & Nominees’ at the same location.
